In this page, you will find the work of the graduating class of 2023. They are the result of intense studio work organized around the main theme of “Element(s)” with three parallel units – Critical, Green Urban, and Advance Technological Practices – focusing respectively on the project themes of Urgent Care, Green Pearls: The Olive Tree Treasures, and Living Lab. Unit 1, Critical Practices, sought out and identified urgent needs in the built environment with a view to exploring and developing architectural ideas and action that could be construed as practices of care. Unit 2, Green Urban Practices, worked on the design of an olive research and training centre proposed adjacent to the Klazomenai archaeological site in Urla. The projects were expected to explore approaches that would cause minimum disturbance to the existing site conditions. Unit 3, Advance Technological Practices, focused on mixed use scenarios with complex spatial arrangements that challenged clear distinctions between programmatic needs (public-private, working-living, etc.). Student projects also experimented with innovative and visionary architectural concepts and strategies. IEU Architecture graduates of 2023 are ready to take their place in the professional world. We wish them good luck in their future career.
