The project is designed to meet the needs of students, aiming to provide affordable accommodation in Milan, one of the most preferred cities by students. With the most expensive average rent in Europe, the city has a large and growing student population. Adaptive reuse was considered as a solution and a station building in the city, which was previously built by Aldo Rossi but left unfinished, was redesigned to serve this purpose. There are 5 other abandoned buildings of approximately the same scale throughout city. And the project was created with the same logic, so that it can be adapted to other buildings by combining modular parts if needed.
