The Groving Village project is a targeted effort to address the pressing issue of flooding in tropical coastal villages. The design strategy for the project involves using water-resistant bamboo structures that have a foundation with reinforced concrete, which is a cost-effective and safe material for building with bamboo. The focus of the design is to create comfortable and functional living spaces at an affordable cost, primarily in the form of residential houses. The village itself consists of three types of housing based on occupancy. Considering the goal of the project, all structures are built on a platform elevated from the ground and interconnected by bamboo bridges.
