Food has a significant effect on our memories. We associate foods with certain events and emotions. 'Happy Memories Map’ is a research-based, data visualization project and the aims to show the relationship between food and happy memories. The research covers the memories experienced in Izmir to offer a local perspective. The project visualizes the obtained research data on a map and memory cards with categories of food, district, age and memory. It also aims to continue collecting data by providing an interactive experience for the audience while being exhibited. 'Happy Memories Map’ is a sustainable project as it is research-based and aims to continue collecting and visualizing data over the years.
