In anticipation of the rising sea levels caused by climate change, a group of scientists and designers have developed a solution: floating houses known as "BUOYANT." These innovative modular homes, shaped like hexagons, aim to provide a safe haven as the waters encroach upon the land. In 2024, the waters started to rise, many filling parts of Izmir were submerged and the sea was very polluted due to burst sewer pipes. It became almost impossible to live on land so people were relocating to BUOYANT. BUOYANT Health And Psychology Center’ was opened as a solution to the psychological effects that will arise as a result of the relocation.
